While extreme poverty still plagues various parts of the country, there are households which do not even qualify as extremely poor. It wouldn't be incorrect to call these households ultra-poor considering their socio-economic status. It is horrifying to realise that even today, there are households on the verge of starvation in our own country. The Nudge foundation decided to change this. Kanha pench Corridor is one of the biggest corridor in central India connecting Kanha and Pench Tiger reserve. Central India's major tribes Gond and Baigas are thriving here from time immemorial. They are living in harmony with the wildlife using this corridor for migrating between the tiger reserves. An ideal example of Co- existence. RBS foundation in partnership with FES & Madhya Pradesh Forest Department are helping these community towards adapting climate resilient practices so that it can reduce the pressure from unsustainable activities emerged in recent times i.e. Overgrazing, Timber extractions, Heavy use of Pesticides and fertilizers, Etc.
